Bike & Sketch on Djurgården
The island Djurgården is a perfect place for a bike tour - as well as for sketching!
Tour description
We will follow the shoreline of Djurgården to circle the island, passing famous museums, beautiful wooden houses, green parks and sculptures. On selected spots, we will get off our bikes and pull out our sketching materials to capture the views.
The island is very flat and we will bike at an easy pace with breaks for sketching.
Bring a snack, some water or a thermos with coffee for a little fika break in between.
On three or four selected spots, we will stop for about 20-30 minutes each to sketch. We will go through the sketching process together step by step, going from ink outlines to colouring with watercolour.
While we walk and sketch, I will tell you a little bit about the places we are visiting and share my own tips and tricks for sketching.
All materials (paper, pens and watercolours) will be provided.

What to bring
Your bike and helmet, a snack and water bottle or thermos with coffee/tea
We will be outside in the open during the whole tour, so please wear clothing according to weather and comfortable shoes. Bring a hat and sunscreen on sunny days, a wind- and waterproof jacket if the weather is mixed.
Bike rental
If you don't have a bike or no possibility to bring your own bike to Djurgården for the tour, you can rent a bike nearby, for example at Rent A Bike on Strandvägen or Sjöcaféet across the street from our meeting point. Please make sure you arrange your rental bike yourself beforehand, so that you can meet us with your bike in time for the tour.
In case of bad weather
In case of heavy rain, storm etc, the tour will be postponed. If you already signed up, I will contact you and offer you alternative dates.
At the moment there is unfortunately no indoor alternative to the tour.
Payment
I accept Swish, Paypal or cash. No card payments!
Payment at the beginning of the tour. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your spot may be given to someone else.
