Frequently Asked Questions
What are your hygiene measures for Covid-19?
I keep a close eye on official recommendations and restrictions. In case there are new policies making the tour impossible, the tour will be cancelled.
The tour will take place outdoors and we will avoid crowds as much as possible. We will be a maximum of 8 persons (myself included) and we will have a lot of space around us so that you can keep distance to other participants and other people in the area. Also, the materials will be wiped down after every use.
Just like for any other activity, please only join if you are healthy. If you have any symptoms, please take care of yourself and others and stay home.
Do I need to bring anything?
All materials for sketching and painting will be provided. Please wear clothing according to the weather and comfortable shoes for walking.
What language is used during the tour?
I speak fluent German, English and Swedish. Please note the language of the tour in the tour description before you book. For private tours, any tour can be offered in any of these three languages.
What about the weather?
You will spend a few hours outside in the city, so please dress according to the weather. Stockholm is quite sunny on average, but this is Scandinavia, so all kinds of weather are possible. This may mean that you need an extra layer and wind-/rain-proof clothing, or it may mean sunscreen and a hat against the sun.
We can do the tour in light rain (again, please wear a raincoat, or I can also give some tips for how to hold an umbrella while sketching!), but in case of heavy rain the tour may be cancelled or interrupted.
As of now, with corona precautions and many museums closed, I cannot offer an indoor alternative, unless it is clearly stated in the tour description.
Are children allowed and do you offer any price reduction?
Children or teenagers who are using the same materials as other participants pay the full price. The materials are not suitable for small children. Smaller children who follow along without painting themselves are free of charge. Please note that the tour involves both some walking and some sitting and standing at our sketching locations, so smaller children might grow bored.
On request I can arrange crayons or coloured pencils and normal paper for smaller children to draw, for half the price of the tour. Please contact me before the tour, as I do not usually carry these materials.
I have difficulty walking/I am using a wheelchair. Can I join?
The tours involve some easy walking distances, depending on the tour. You may also need to stand while sketching, as there are not always places to sit. Depending on the tour, there may be cobblestones, stairs and uneven ground. If you are unsure, please contact me with your requirements.
If the normal tours are not possible for you, I can offer a tailor-made private tour that can be wheelchair-friendly or involve less walking. Please send me a request.
